The TS SERIES is our small tactile series of knobs. The knobs design is based on the MS91528 tactile series of knobs, for ground support, which gave the user a unique tactile feel but also were color coded. For avionic equipment color coding was not practical. This exact same series of knobs has been duplicated from a larger version (See TL series) With avionics equipment constantly shrinking in order to fit more black boxes in the cockpit, a small size knob was desirable. These units are similar in shape but are smaller in size than the MS21385 series of knobs. They are designed to meet all the same specifications as the larger version. All of our backlighted knobs can be manufactured for night vision use. Our knobs meet NVIS Green A requirements.
RATED voltage is the voltage on the nameplate - the "design point" for maximum power throughput and safe thermal operation.
The operating temperature is the range of ambient temperature within which a power supply, or any other electrical equipment, operate in. This ranges from a minimum operating temperature, to a peak or maximum operating temperature, outside which, the power supply may fail.
The resistance-change factor per degree Celsius of temperature change is called the temperature coefficient of resistance. This factor is represented by the Greek lower-case letter “alpha” (α). A positive coefficient for a material means that its resistance increases with an increase in temperature.
given in nominal sizes, not in the actual measurement.
the loss of signal power resulting from the insertion of a device in a transmission line or optical fiber and is usually expressed in decibels (dB).
